This looks like a cool show/version with the upgraded audio.
Check out a few screen shots of a similar PC authored version from the master. It was over at the Metfuk tracker back in Feb 08.

I'm good friends with the filmer and he would have told me if he had previously loaned out the master tapes to someone else for authoring. I'm fairly certain that whoever authored the version at Metfuk sourced it from master tape --> SA disks. To some people, that's still considered a "master" sourced production. And in some cases, the difference in quality is fairly minimal - but if the person who recorded the SA disks did so using a cheap stand alone burner - the quality difference can be huge ~ especially if the person who did the master --> PC version did a good job encoding. I personally don't ever describe master tape --> SA disks as a "master" sourced DVD.
I'll check with the filmer just to make sure.

That version was authored by "No Anger/Invaders/Otto ". I think he has done quite a few Metallica dvds. I remember seeing his name quite a bit a few years back, had a ton of vhs masters and other hook ups. There was no description in the torrent if it was from SA or the master film (just said master). |
