Couple more thoughts from me.
a) They weren't checking everyone coming in, because I wasn't searched, and nor were others around me heading in at the same time. I had a pretty large "lump" under my not-tucked-in-shirt, where I had my binoculars strapped to the belt, but no patdown or second glance.
b) They did the "ba bada, shoobie do wah" part of I'm The One, which was cool, since they don't do that too often.
c) I spoke with Tom (Valerie Bertinelli's boyfriend) this afternoon and he confirmed that Ed was a little under the weather, but didn't say what the cause was (nor did I ask).
d) That show absolutely ROCKED! I can't wait to check out what Steecoe caught on tape. Man, I've been to a couple of Steeceo attended shows this tour and have yet to meet up with the master!
e) Oddest item seen in the parking lot after the show: A Delorean ! |

Yeah they patted me down, but ignored the diversionary beltbag "lump" under my shirt. I too noticed the guy walking up & down the isles with the video camera & in fact gave the rock & roll "YEAH!!!" face right in the camera as he walked by...that'd be cool to end up in a DVD :D
I saw that a few of you were meeting up @ shoeless joe's & as much as I'd like to meet up with everyone & "talk shop" so to speak, when I am on the job that's about all I can focus on (ask King Edward-he saw how anxious I was B4 Charlotte!). I did see one guy at the show with a red & white shirt at the show, but unless you are an old guy with a broken hand who was there with his son--I didn't think it was you :p |

Nope, wasn't me. There were a couple of people with the red/white striped T-Shirts on. The shirt I was wearing was a large button-down red/white/black homemade shirt with the stripes all the way around. All hand sewn on.
Anyway, just listened to the Crossroads sample up on DIME, that's pretty much what things sounded like where I was, pretty boomy, heavy on the bass. I was front row in the balcony, section 203, first section on Wolfie's side.
It was a damn good show, a great way to help clear away some of the stuff stuck in my head from a Las Vegas show I saw at the end of last year. Thanks! |

I just finished listening to the whole show (minus "Jump" just because I can't stand it) and it's a good performance/recording.
Hopefully they carry it over to Grand Rapids tomorrow night. Hopefully I can pull a good tape from the upper deck. I'm contemplating on bringing my old cassette recorder too just to have another source for kicks. |

| Another thing I just remembered. Thought it was a bit cheap to use one of those engine repair lights (you know the kind, a metal shade around the back, a hook at the top to hook it onto a hood, etc...) to light up Dave during SGMAD and the "That suit is you..." guy. The effect was fine, just thought that type of light looked out of place. (shrug) |

Reading about the Red Wings jersey making the stage in Grand Rapids reminded me of something else from the Chicago show. Later in the show someone threw a white tshirt up on stage. Dave caught it on the fly and twirled it a bit before it became caught on his mic stand. He then used the mic stand to wave the stuck shirt like a flag before it finally fell off into a pile near the edge of the stage. It eventually got removed.
Dunno what was on the shirt, but I'm pretty sure no-one in the band noticed what it was. Dunno if the shirt thrower got it back, or got ejected, or what... |

I've got some excellent video - but it's only a partial recording; still definitely worth watching though. Can't work on it until I get my computers though. Probably in another month or so. |

I didn't go to this show - received it from another filmer.
I'd like to see what you have - it might fill in a gap of missing songs or could make for a nice 2-cam mix. |

not very good sound/video quality but maybe someone can sync the steeco audio into my video or depending what yours sounds like you can do the same. i wish i had a better camera to record with. there is a great version of jump on youtube. |
