Thinking of making a banner to bring to the show tonight to chuck up on stage...anyone done this yet?

Any venue security issues..? If I chuck something on stage will I get hauled out...? I'll be in the pit tonight...

Just wondering if anyone has done it or seen it done on this tour yet...

Thanks.

I have yet to see someone throw something on stage. Security varies from venue to venue. Back in 96 I actually had a security guy throw something on stage for me cause I couldn't get close enough.

Wasn't that really always Sammy's schtick? I hope you get it up there, 'cause it is exciting when you do! I got a banner up in Ft. Wayne on the Fuck tour, it was pretty cool.

I'll be there looking for it!!! Be careful though...most of the security guys these days are real hard ass's. Mean spirited bastids!!! Can't wait for the show!!!!!! Looking at the clock now.. Since I'm already typing..if anyone is taping tonight..or gets a hold of a recording /dvd or cd/ PLEASE let me know. This is a birthday present from March so I'd be fired up to have it.
Peace
Marc

I would say just don't throw it AT someone. That may piss off security. Sounds cool though. Good Luck and have a great time.

Well just got in from the show. It was an amazing night. Ed was on fire. We had awesome seats. There must of been 15 security guys in the pit. When we got to our seats no one was in the pit yet. I was chatting with the security and they basically told me if I threw my banner on stage they would escort me out of the building....well takes care of that idea. I was too far away to try and hand it to Dave so basically we held it up a couple of times and got a smile from Eddie as he read it.....but no gesture from the band to toss it to them...I was bummed as I wanted to take a picure of it on stage....oh well..

Set list was odd....no Little Guitars....no Dave rap with the acoustic....Ed shortened his guitar solo....no Women in Love intro...no 316....seemed like they were on the clock to finish or something...
I haven't read any reviews lately so maybe this is normal for this leg....

I took about 100 or so pics....lots of blurry ones...but some really nice ones as well....too tired to upload now....I'll try and get it done tomorrow....and update this thread with a link.....

All and all a sweet night....I saw them in Boston last October with OK seats....but being 4th row in the pit is a whole new world.....it was just plain awesome....

Good night...!

I too was at the show last night. They were amazing. Ed was all over it. So on fire it was rediculous!!The band was REALLY tight overall. Very sharp. Ed's sound was fantastic. Every note was as clear as could be. DLR was on his game as well with the trademark screams and stage presence.. I was also at the Boston show and it's difficult for me to compare the two shows. At Boston the energy was very high and I was personally spazzing out at the overall exerience of finally seeing VH with DLR. At this show I was able to take in all aspects of the show a bit more thoroughly and was blown away.
If anyone get's this show PLEASE pm me. And if anyone goes to the shows please let us know about it. I come on hear many times just to read about how the prior nights show went.
Peace
Marc

It's too late now, but.....

I would have found a really hot babe with a nice rack - preferably in the front row - and asked her if she would be willing to hand it to Dave...maybe have her panties and/or bra hanging off the end of it.

I think that would have been your best chance. And you could have taken pics of her doing it too.
