How (or, is it possible) can I convert a video shot in Quicktime format over to something that can xferred to DVD format?

I just shot video of my oldest son at a talent show singing entirely in Japanese, and the software in the digital camera shoots video only in Quicktime. I'd like to convert this over to .avi or .mpeg so I can load it onto a DVD and send a copy home to my parents. I have Xilisoft, but there isn't anything in it that'll allow me to do this.

Thx!

Sony Vegas will do the conversion for you....but I suspect you're looking for something more in the "free" range. TMPGEnc should do it, is that free?

I forgot one more:

I have a VH show from the '88 MOR tour in Los Angeles (I was at this show). The person who sent it to me burned the disc as one entire file, i.e. Disc 1 is one large file as is Disc 2. None of the songs are broken into separate tracks. What software can I use to correcrt this?

Thanks again!
