I don't think you should have bought an upperdeck ticket. I'd be willing to bet you could have got a scalped ticket on the floor or a seat close to the stage on the side for below face value. Or...you could have got a scalped nosebleed seat ticket for $20 and just went and sat in a good seat and hoped no one showed up - I've done that a few times.
Having said that, with the way the speakers are hung from the ceiling, you could pull a great tape from the upper deck if you are in the right spot.
I think I've got Steve's number saved in my cellphone. I'll have to give him a call. |

I was thinking about going big for this show, but I'm going with two friends so we decided to get the cheap seats.
I did manage to score front row/side stage seats for the Who in 2006 there. My dad and I snuck down and were able to stay the entire show. Man, that would have been an incredible recording. |

Is there anyone going to this show that'd be willing to grab a T-Shirt for me? At the Chicago show Friday night, I bought a Lion/2008 (size XL) shirt, but when I got home, I discovered a good sized hole in the back of one of the sleeves that I hadn't spotted when I bought it.
These shirts don't appear to be available online, so I was hoping maybe someone headed to the Grand Rapids gig could pick one up for me. I'd cover the costs of the shirt ($25 bucks at the Chicago show) and shipping of course!
A quick check of eBay doesn't reveal any of these shirts, I'll have to snap a pic. |
