I'm not sure if this has been posted in an earlier subject, but I just received a circular from Radio Shack where I saw this featured:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3147757&cp=&sr=1&origkw=USB+TURNTABLE&kw=usb+turntable&parentPage=search
I've been wondering lately how I would, if I chose to, convert my vinyl collection to CD-R. At the price of $99, I think it's a steal. |

I was given something similar as a gift recently and thought it was awesome. I converted a couple LPs to CDR and they sounded great. As easy as plugging in a USB. |

WOW!
This looks great!
I've got a Radio Shack Linear Tracking Turntable I bought in 1983 and spent $300.00 on it.
Still is hooked upin the Garage but I could bring this into my House where all my Vinyl is and clean it up with Audacity.
I bookmarked the page!

| So this must be much better quality than I have been doing it by playing the record on my record player through my home stereo..then running a line in line from the receiver to my computer..then recording it to the computer. |

If I am not mistaken, your method is basically using the PC's soundcard and so it is less than ideal ... but whatever works for ya :thumb: .
I believe this method ... turn table via USB cable, does not use the soundcard and should therefore be better but I'm no expert and I could be mistaken. |
