Is it too late to get in on the action? I would really appreciate a copy of this show - been looking for it for a while without any luck. Of course I would pass it on to whoever wants it - no problem :)

Or you could just send him a copy - no strings attached.

True, that IS an option.

But I've tossed out a few Freebies recently (I'll be offering a few more soon too - feel free to grab one) and since this is a solicited request, I took the opportunity to peek at his list.

Thanks for your input though.

I'm not singling you out - so don't take this that way.

I put many, many hours of work into authoring these shows - and sometimes spend a lot of money in cases where I was the filmer. Actually, even when I'm not the filmer, I usually offer to pay for insured shipping (both ways) for the tapes so the filmer sending them feels comfortable sending me masters (i.e., the '97 Metallica that I just offered up here). So even those projects can be costly, especially when the tapes are coming from outside the US.

I never ask for anything in return when I offer them here.

I'm not saying that everyone has to freely offer what they've gotten for free here at VHTrading - but it's nice to see others doing it that way. And it can be a very nice way of getting newbies to do the same.

Understood. And when I speak of the "stellar people at VHTrading" you are at the top of that list. However, in his post offering the VH Flac freebie, Ory made a suggestion contrary to yours to this same member:

Your better off asking for a trade instead of asking for a handout cause you just started posting here and there is no way of knowing if you will get a copy and run and not pass it along.

Try offering a trade, 2:1, B&P or something like that..Ory

I ALWAYS do my best to "give back", "pay forward", etc. I am nowhere near having your status but I try and lead by your example as well as that of Ory, Wes, etc - all the people who make this the reputable trade site that it is.

When I Branch, more times than not, even if I ask to see someone's list, I'll send the show as Freebie if I see nothing that I want. (Yikes, did that sentence make sense?)

Again, I appreciate all that you do here, I really do. And I DO my best to offer up shows when I can. That being said, I'm trying to build a fairly decent reputation here and when you, a moderator, step in and interfere (maybe too strong of a word) with your comments, I feel like you set me back a little.

Everything's cool, I'm not pissed off at all....just a little dissapointed.

Sorry man.

Like I said in the first sentence of my last post to this thread, I'm not singling you out. It's just your post that prompted me to post something I've noticed at the board - I could have chosen lots of other posts and said the exact same thing. Please don't take what I said personally.
