Capturing an event from beginning to end is a huge undertaking.
Many things to consider when attempting a pull. Even though you might get passed security,
then its on to set up ( mics, cables, pre's, recorder) then to your seats, then you hope others
around you are not too loud, and you scan the crowd during the show for possible security spotters,
then you hit record and you still dont know if you got anything until you get home to check the
recorder. Then if that goes, onto post production.

Notes from the taper:
Security was pretty tight coming in (wanded twice) but once in, no problems at all. I was able to knot a windbreaker to the
railing in front of me and clip the mics in position on it during the opening act. I didn't have to hide them in any way during
the performance, and security was walking back and forth on the landing below all evening not knowing what was going on.
There were only two people in my row--definitely tapers in spirit--and they were not talkers anyway. One of the things I like
about the recording is that you get a feel of the crowd below, as well as the music. Great performance, David Lee Roth was
absolutely nuts all evening--he had to have dropped more "f-bombs" than the rest of the tour combined. You'll have to
listen several times to catch all of his constant ad-libs and asides. Hope you enjoy it.

Notes:
I was very surprised that I pulled this good of a recording from way back in the arena. The mix was GREAT; for the first
time this tour, I could hear Alex's drums clearly. Ed's playing is fantastic, Dave is a little off but acted like classic Dave.
A lot of energy at this show but overall it's mostly the same as the shows the past few weeks. During "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout
Love" we were getting updates about the Red Wings game and with :30 left it appeared we were going to close it out.
At the time, it was 3-2 and I (dumbass) declared "WE WON THE STANLEY CUP!!!" Seconds later, my friend receives
a text message saying Pittsburgh tied it, oh well.

As always, don't sell my stuff and please only convert to mp3 for iPods and such, DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS
IN MP3. THAT GOES FOR ANY PERSONAL FORUMS WHO HOST BOOTLEGS, DO NOT POST THIS IN MP3.

By the way, forgive my lack of knowledge but, can you copy these discs with a CD burner or must they be copied on a DVD burner? I'm assuming that the media doesn't make a difference just the files that you copy. Anyone...? Thanks again! :thumb:
