Oh yeah and it's ironic that Smashmouth (who opened for them) is the only band on the bill with their original lead singer.

That being said, Boston was incredible!! Michael Sweet and Tommy DeCarlo paid great homage to Brad Delp.

And Tom Scholz may or may not be the most under-rated guitar player out there but I think he's definitely under-appreciated!!
As far as innovators, he's up their with Jimi, EVH and Randy Rhoads.

Styx was great although their set was "DeYoung-Free" as anticipated.

Glad you enjoyed the show. Can't bring myself to see Boston without Brad, but that being said I hear Sweet and the other singer do a great job. Styx just has Shaw and James Young left from the old days right?

It's soo sad Brad is gone. I was actually supposed to see Delp with Beatlejuice in mass. I was in Florida on a wed and coming back to Mass on that friday to see them and I got a call while I was strolling in Tampa that he had killed himself. I've always been a big fan of Scholtz. He like EVH is a tone junky.

My wife always wanted to check out Beatlejuice but we never got around to checking out a show. Of course I'm kicking myself now. He was a great talent.

just got back a while ago and all i have to say is great show!! michael sweet and tommy decarlo did extremely well on vocals. all i could think about during "to be a man" was how badly the fans miss brad delp's presence onstage. tom scholz is truly amazing. just looking back at all the rack effects and the amps behind him and then watching him play shows that not only does he have all the brains for music and making his own equipment, but he also has great talent.

styx also put on a great show. great band-audience interaction. it was a fun night!
