Some randon pics I took the last few days.
Cooking pork at a little restaurant in Uijongbu. The metal cooking plate is tilted at an angle (to the right in this pic) and the grease from the meat drains off through a gap on the right side of the plate...but not until after it's made its way through the kimchi, bean sprouts, and mushrooms - making them nice and crispy.
Some lost soul in Seoul... (the green bottle is a traditional liquor made from sweet potatoes - and is dirt cheap)
Looking out the window of my son's apartment north of Seoul.
A view from the walking bridge between Main Post and South Post at the base where I work. An accident (presumably motorcycle) occurred just west of the walking bridge the day prior.
The text next to the circle in the street says "helmet," and the text next to the circle on the sidewalk says, "shoe(s)."

| Great photos Randy, thanks for sharing. The picture out of your son's place with the mountain in the background is very cool. |

| My cousin was just transfered there and when he got off the plan apparently some garbage was thrown at her for being an Armed Forces member in uniform. |

I have lived here for many years and never seen nor heard of such a thing. Security at the airport is pretty tight also - everywhere there are cops with machineguns who don't take any shit.
Just curious...except for people returning from Iraq/Afghanistan (who don't have any civilian clothes to wear), traveling internationally in uniform stopped many years ago. What was she doing in uniform? |

That's a good question.
This information came from my sister>mom>me, so it's likely something was explained wrong. My sister should know better, she's been in the Air Force for 8 years. |

Took this pic last night. A lot of restaurants here serve seafood and have fish tanks out front - there's a very wide variety from which to choose. You pick out what you want to eat, they fish it out of the tank, and cook it for you. I have no idea what the things in this pic are called (my wife told me, but I can't remember...and I don't plan on ever ordering them...so it's probably just as well). All I know is that these are some weird looking mofos...
