| First i would like to say to all the guys who flim and can get that steady shot you are a rare breed and my hat goes off to you ,maybe you can put up some tips on ways to get good shows,i shot my first hand held the other night REO SPEEDWAGON norfolk navel base,va it's not good enough to offer out,it's shakey people were bumping into me ,i had nothing to lean on we were in the middle of a field,i have shot a couple from tripod in the 80's KEEL and TESTAMENT but that was easy ,i am going aug,8 th to flim TESTAMENT so any tips will be helpful |

| I'm not sure how many people will openly give you tips. You know it is kind of better that the info not get out for others to see the tricks of the trade. |

With any luck, some heavy hitters will step up to the plate here. My buddy and I taped VH in Lauderdale and St.Louis, and all I can say is major props to the guys who go in there and get a nice, steady 120 minute long set. It really isn't as easy as it looks.
My main observation is to do it in pairs if you can. Have a buddy watch out for ushers.. they'll ruin everything. Also, bring a jacket or sweater along... have that around your neck to help hide the cam/strap. Oh, and be very quiet - those cams pick up everything. |
