|
|
My wife bought me an Ipod nano 8gb for F-day a few weeks ago.
I basically put all VH stuff (studio and boots) on there plus tons of other artists.
I cant seem to figure something that you would think would be basic out,
how do you set it to shuffle a particular artist. I can get it to shuffle EVERYTHING (all artists) but I dont want that. I want to be able to go on a run and shuffle all my VH stuff and not just listen to it in order by album. But at the same time I dont want to just shuffle everything. Just an artist.
any help would be great...
thanks,
Rob |

| That's a good question. I got one for Fathers Day as well. I've only just shuffled all songs. Not sure you can just shuffle an artist..... |

If you go into the settings on the iPod, you can turn on shuffle. Then go to the artist and start playing a song. It will then shuffle for that artist.
Don't forget to turn off the shuffle feature by going into the settings again. It is the one quirk with iPod's that bother me...the lack of a shuffle option when you open a playlist, artist, etc.

Yes, well I don't have a nano, but this works for my 3rd and 5th Gen iPods:
* As well as the 'shuffle songs' option, that juts plays everything shuffled, there should be an option called 'shuffle' in the options screen, which can be set to 'song', 'album' or 'none'.
* Once you've chosen 'song' or 'album' dig down via music -> artist -> Death Cab *then* instead of hitting the centre button again which would take you to a list of albums and then a list of tracks just hit play when the artist is highlighted.
* I believe you can do the same with a single album too, or hit play while highlighting 'all' on the album list screen.
Hope this helps :uhoh: |
