|
|
OK, I've used DVDecryptor for YEARS! I use ISO Mode and put these files into a Folder.
I then go back with my DVD burning software and burn those files to DVD and it comes out perfect 99.999% of the time.
Recently when I've done what I've described above and then tried to play it in PowerDVD, I get an error, something about "Grapghic Playback failed" or "Graphic Interface Failed" (something of that nature).
So what I've been having to do, is use DVDecryptor and burn in File Mode, and put THOSE files into a folder and then (using the same software) burn to DVD.
That seems to work.
My question is, why would this happen all of a sudden?

Wierd,
I am getting the same message.I thought perhaps it was comming in conflict with some other DVD readers I have downloaded recently.Power DVD has always been my favorite and says same as you: Graphic Playback failed. |

Did you download an update? Every now & then an update will mess you up something special. |

Silly question - if you're extracting an image with DVD Decrypter, why wouldn't you also use it to burn?
(unless I'm misunderstanding something here...) |

I was extracting the images with DVDDecryptor as ISO Files.
I could BURN those files using DVD Decryptor.
But then 1 day, everything I started burning with it was coming back with a "Video Playback Error".
So now I just extract the VOB Files and use NTI to burn the DVD.
Its a long way around, but it works and I'm not making "coasters" anymore.

I noticed you stated you use DVDShrink ... please note, that unless I'm mistaken, DVDShrink re-encodes everything, whether it needs to or not. I would suggest avoiding using Shrink when you are trading.
ImgBurn is an awesome program, I believe it was developed by the same guy who had done DVDDecryptor, but I could be mistaken.
As far as Vista ... I have no clue ... I'm still using XPPro |

Yeah! Mine came with the same setup (I'm sure it's standard). So, how's it working?
I went right to the Nero that came with my external burner...but if Cyberlink works well...then I'll switch over and give it a try. |

Cyberlink seems to work fine. The only problem is the delux version will not burn DVD files (vob's) downloaded from the internet. You have to "upgrade" to DVD Suite Gold ($49.95).... :furious:

Always a catch..... |

Ok, after playing with this CyberLink program I have discovered it sucks balls! For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to burn downloaded video files (.vob's) with that stupid program. To the trash bin it goes. :D
If I have to think to much while using a program, I don't want it. I want something simple and easy to use that will burn exact copies safely and effectively.......back to ImgBurn for me! I hadn't noticed before that it supports Vista, so it's all good! :thumb:
