Hello, gang, it's me again with another technical question. :D Can anyone tell me if there is a DVD burning program out there that will burn a VideoTS folder, that is bigger than 4.7GB, over 2 regular DVDs, without having to compress the files? I don't have a dual layer burner and I don't want to sacrifice the quality of the show. I have a Clapton PRO-SHOT DVD on my hard drive that is 7+GB and I'd rather burn across two than compress. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :thumb:

DVDFab will split a dual-layer across 2 DVD's, but I'm not sure of a free program that will do it.

The demo version of DVDFab is fully functional for 30 days.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there are no chapters authored into this videoTS folder, it is one 7GB file without splits. Anybody?...Bueller, anybody?...

There has been several suggestions here. What have you tried? What have you not tried? What results have to achieved, what errors have you seen? What did DVD Shrink do with it?

Hey, Ron, I hope you didn't take my last post the wrong way, that was supposed to be humorous :) . Perhaps I didn't succeed with my intentions. Did you see Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Anyway, I've tried dividing up the videoTS folders, with the DVDinfo and backup info on both folders to burn two separate discs. That did not work. I tried to compress the folder to fit on one disc and the audio didn't burn. Lastly, I tried to use DVDFab to custom split the videoTS folder and burn it over two discs and none of my playing devices could read the disc. That's where I'm at. :uhoh:

in my opinion I think your best bet
would be to use TMPGEnc DVD Author 3
and add chapters and divide it wherever you would like

Thanks Dokkendude, I'll definitely look into that, I'm out of ideas so I'm open for anything. :thumb:
