Hope this is an ok spot for this...

I use a Mac for all my vhtrading "work" but recently obtained a PC with XP and a dvd burner. If I sit down at the PC with a VH DVD from this current tour, what do I need to do to make an exact copy? My computer has DVDShrink on it, but I think that's for copyrighted stuff or stuff that needs to be compressed. I just want to make an exact copy so I have one (or more) to trade.

Hopefully this is an easy question, I just haven't done anything like this on a PC and when I googled "copy dvd in windows xp" I found a zillion different methods which all seem to apply to copy-protected dvds.

Thanks!
Gilligan

Hey Gilligan,

Shrink is OK, but you have to go into the compression settings and set it to no compression. If it's a single layer DVD that's being copied, there won't be any compression to worry about.

Cheers,
Danny

DVD Decrypter to rip, and Imgburn to burn. Both free, easy to use, and reliable.

Ah, thanks guys. I'm playing with it right now and it seems pretty straightforward. I really appreciate the help - there are just too many options with this stuff these days, so it's nice to hear from folks who know what they're doing!

Mucho Mahalos!

Oh, nothing new. I was experimenting with the San Diego show (1 disc) but I've only got a couple more - Anaheim & Ft. Lauderdale.
