I don't know how new this is or if anyone of you have tried it,
but I just came across SWITCH from NCH software. No more
multiple filing input/output directories like we had to endure with
MKW. It's that simple...and it works with multiple formats just
select 'n' go! |

When I first saw this topic I thought you were going to say your converting your SHN to FLAC and I was going to say ... DON'T DO IT! But I can understand if you are really saying you are going to start using FLAC from now on instead of SHN. But remember leave the original files in the original format you received them in.
I ran across one person who was converting all their SHN files to FLAC. Unnecessary conversions are a bad idea. When you have a good file ... LEAVE IT ALONE! |

I only convert to flac to burn CDs (files are saved in their original format)...most files out there are flac anyway, I don't use shn (or ape). |

Absolutely. Burning the FLAC or SHN straight to an audio CDR is burning "On-The-Fly" and I would never do that.

OK, I'm really confused, why would you convert to FLAC to burn a CD, Unless it is a data CD but then in that case you'd want to burn the original file. I'm totally confused. |
