Apologies if this appears in another thread but I just saw this on melodicrock.com
Hey Eddie – WTF? Revisionist history strikes again... First there was editing bassist Michael Anthony out of the original Van Halen album artwork, then more recently Eddie denied Anthony was ever fired from the band...now this! All I can ask is why? “Guitar Hero: Van Halen” Nixes Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar. Story: www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/06/08/guitar-hero-van-halen-nixes-sammy-hagar-michael-anthony/ and preview: www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/06/04/guitar-hero-van-halen-trailer-rolls-out-at-e3-expo.
Ugh. Enough already. Maybe they didn't want to have to pay Mike (and Sammy) for use of their images in the game? |

A quick search for "guitar hero" shows this lengthy thread: http://www.vhtrading.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18685
And it includes discussion related to the points you've made. |
