The guy's good, but is he really the fastest guitar player in the world? There are so many points to bring up...
Flight of the Bumblebee is "easy" because a lot of it is chromatic, meaning the notes are right next to each other on the frets.
Could this guy play other songs, riffs and licks just as fast? What about general scales going up and down the neck?
And how clean is this guy really playing? If they would slow a recording of his stuff down, would they be able to verify that each note is clear and distinct?
And what about other fast techniques, such as sweep picking and 10-finger tapping? With sweep picking, I've heard Shawn Lane go warp speed with the notes and make people like Yngwie sound like they're playing in slow motion. And with multi-finger tapping, you can potentially play a couple dozen notes per second.
Give me a guy like the late Shawn Lane, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse or Phil Keaggy who are COMPLETE guitarists and I'd give him my respect. |

| Or a guy like John Petrucci, who is a complete guitarist but can absolutely blaze when he wants to. |

Yikes! That guy is fast.
He sounds clean to me. If you watch his right hand it looks like he picks every note. I didn't notice any sweep picking or hammering on. Not really my thing but he's definately fast. |

| Well, at least not he can go back to his job at the comic book store and feel good about himself. |

| Seriously, this video cracks me up like no other. I can't get enough of it... 3 minutes building this fat-ass up like he's the offspring of god. It's fucking great! And then he blesses us with like 13 versions of Flight of the Bumblebee... each more riveting then the the previous. I guess they are starved for entertainment in South America - VH hasn't been since 83, so I understand. |

| I'd hate to have to face off with this guy in a jacking off contest. He'd beat me (hmm...bad choice of words?) hands down. |
