Watch out for ebay sellers. Some asshole is selling VH-Zero on ebay. See the link: ebay page

Scott, any way if we can determine if the seller's email addy is one of the members here.
Here s the seller's addy: :furious: :furious: chrisr8@aol.com :furious:

I say we flood the bastard with emails. :irked:

I went to ebay to buy some old VH CD's to replace the ones my 12yr old son accidently left in the garage and ended up getting destroyed. (VH1 & WACF)

At least he listens to good tune-age!!!

There's no member here who registered with that e-mail address. It does sound very familiar to me -- I seem to remember the "chrisr8" (I read it "Chris rate") part. Maybe he's a member of the VHTrade or VH mailing lists on Yahoogroups.

I recommend not flooding his e-mail, just spreading the word everywhere that he's ripping people off.

I'll move this to Traders to Avoid.

I'm not gonna go off on one of my ebay rants again, we've heard enough, but it really aggravates me when I see these things happen. I remember the first time I saw Reunion on there, I mailed Fletch in about two seconds!

Life is too short to worry about people selling on EBay. Technically, we're not supposed to be trading this stuff either. On my Rolling Stones trading group, we released a newly surfaced tape source for the 5/27/76 Earls's Court show - it was bootlegged by VGP within 5 weeks. You can't stop bootleggers; someone will always try to sell stuff in order to make a buck. I'm just thankful that we can trade freely as an alternative to the old days when we had no choice but to buy.

Rob I don't think this has anything to with whether ot not trading is legal, Rob. The point is, some people are trying to make money while we're not. ;)

The easiest thing to do is report them to eBay. The auction will be pulled, and after enough warnings so will their account.

I just read this thread again, and I remember that chris8@aol addy from somewhere, I may have traded with him, but I can't remember for sure, none of the Chris names in my addy book have that email, but I know I remember it from somewhere, I must be getting old ;)

I was on there looking for the new TOJ cd, and I found a completed auction where somebody paid $26 dollars for a single disc, with one song, "That's Why I Love Ya" Unbelievable :( :(

And the quote from the seller:

This is the song all the fans heard of but never heard. This track was to have beenb on the very underrated VH3 cd but was pulled off at the last second. The song is called THATS WHY I LOVE YOU. This song is amazing & shows the true diversity of Gary Cherone's vocal range. I will include some other rare VH w/ Cherone as well as Extreme. See why Eddie should have kept this true talen in VH & not worry about washed up has beens & a record label who recently dropped VH.

One thing I don't understand is this "Kmark" idiot, (the winning bidder), actually bidding against himself. Check out the bidding history on this one. Could have been a set up trying to burn VH boot collectors.
I'll never understand why people pay good money for these boots when they could trade for them here, (as well as other websites). I guess some idiots have more money than brains !!

Sometimes buying stuff off Ebay is the only way to get certain things that you can't find out in the "trading community". But after I paid the EXTORTION price, I burned it and sent it out to many other traders. The seller isn't gonna sell tooooooo many more.... :D
