Here' another EBAY asshole:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=851341529
Read the entire description. This guy even has "reviews" from Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone, just to name a few. I can't believe the lengths he went to in order to make this recording sound completely legit, when it's obviously "Full Moon, Fair Warning", but in an edited version. He even states that the singer for this recoding was Sammy, not Dave.
The photo of the disc that's included near the bottom of the page even has a Japanese obi strip on it for good measure. I compared it to the obi's I have on my own Japanese imports, and it does say "Van Halen" in Japanese, but other than that I have no idea what else is said on it.
Somewhere, right now, someone who doesn't know any better has bid on it, thinking they're getting the "real thing", and they will be very disappointed. What a fucking asshole. :furious: |

Here's his "reviews":
Quote: Product Reviews
Entertainment Weekly (05/7/2001)
SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE FORUM sounds crisper than anyone has a right to expect, as Eddie Van Halen and crew remind everyone who still need reminding that there were no bands that could compete with this foursome when they were at their peak. - Rating: B
Ripe Magazine (05/5/2001)
This roster was the premier Van Halen... - Rating: B+
Rolling Stone Magazine (05/14/2001)
4 Stars - Good - ...no matter how cliched the format might seem, Van Halen had no competition
Q Magazine (05/01/2001)
4 Stars - Good - ...the gruff SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE FORUM...will delight fans...while the impact of 'Hear About It Later,' 'Sinner's Swing' and ' Mean Street' have aged nicely, numbers like 'Feel Your Love Tonight', 'Jamie's Crying', 'Everybody Wants Some', 'Runnin' With The Devil' shows who ruled hard rock
These assholes will go to any length to make their boots look "authentic"... :irked: |

| What I find very curious is that this 7 day eBay auction for Sunday Afternoon At The Forum was ended early. Only hours, actually, after Vince G. exposed him. I spot-checked his other completed auctions, and for those he always let them run to completion. Hmm... |

You have to sift through the BS though. I'll only bid on silver discs; and then I'll only pay up to 20. I'd like to get as many silvers as possible, because of the "collectors" aspect, but I'm not gonna pay a bunch. If I get it on a trade; then that's fine too.
I think alot of people that sell, seem to get a bunch or multiple copies and then throw the extra on e-bay to make some bread. You ever notice how many boots are sold from South America? Sheesh, they seem to get more silvers than I notice anywhere else (except mayhaps Japan) |
