Let me preface this by saying that we -- the VH trading community -- are a global congregation. We're made up of all nationalities, we're all equals, and we're all friends.<P>But the vast majority of us are from the U.S., and this post is directed to you guys...<P>Today's events are absolutely unfathomable. I <I>still</I> can't believe it happened. It's all so surreal...never in my life have I been personally shaken so much about an act of terrorism, an act of war... :( <P>I'm sure most of you feel the same way as I do. It's shaken us to the very core of our national spirit. I'm sure that's exactly what the terrorists wanted to do; disrupt the everyday lives of Americans and instill fear and dismay into our hearts.<P>Let's show them that this has not beaten us. If you have a flag, dig it out of your closet and display it on your house. Attach it to your cars. Show everyone that the American spirit is alive and well.<P>Do something nice for somebody. Buy them lunch or dinner. Let someone ahead of you in line. Give someone a hand when they need it. Yeah, I know; sometimes people can normally be jerks. But if you're nice to them, there's a good chance they'll return the favor to you (or someone else). As a nation we can unify ourselves if we show each other that depression and chaos hasn't gotten the best of us; instead, show that hope and kindness will thrive in the aftermath.<P>Many news pundits have commented on the situation, "the terrorists have already won. They achieved their objective" I disagree. When we band together as a country in spirit, we can show the world (and especially the terrorists) that we can win. And we will win.<P>Pray for those who may still be alive in the rubble. Pray the families that've lost a loved one one today. And fear not; we <B>will</B> get the motherfucker(s) behind this and bomb their ass back to the stone age. :mad:

This mindless attack was not only attack against the U.S., it was attack against the modern Western World and society.<P>It may be needless to say this but it's impossible to me to understand what the terrorist were thinking to GAIN with this horrible act... :(

Dear friends,<P>I still can not believe in what my eyes saw yesterday… I still can not believe in what my ears heard on line when the second plane crashed into WTC building… I was on the phone with a guy in Stamford, near by NYC, and he told me astonished that he was able to hear the second explosion right in that moment!!!<P>I’m so sorry that a mindless fact like this had happened to you and so close to your families… It’s time for pain now… WTC was a world community, my company has not lost any employee there, but we lost many colleges, friends, members of our families and partners…<P>I can say I’m lucky enough to live in Brasil, not because we are a poor country and live far from the big global issues that could cause such acts… I’m glad I live in Brasil because here it’s the land of tolerance…<P>Blacks and whites can live together, Jews and Palestinians can eat in the same place, Chineses, Koreans and Japaneses can have their shops in the same building… people can live together and share the same space, it’s only a mater of respect.<P>Now you can say…”Fuck those bastards!!! Why don’t they tolerate each other???” But we must see that Germany, France, Italy and USA :eek: have their own radical groups… Why can’t white, black and Jew get along in America or Europe??? Pretty weird hum???<P>Guys, I’m not pointing my finger to blame anybody… but it’s time to have a break… it’s time to think… it’s time to realize that WE ALL share the same world, WE ALL share the same genetic code… It’s time to realize that no mater what color you are, no mater what do you believe in, there’ll always be someone different from you and with other opinions and beliefs… we should learn to respect the differences!!! This is what makes us FREE human beings.<P>I can’t understand why does racial issues/groups exist in America and Europe… Man, you’re wealthy, you have food everyday in your table, you have a place to live… why care if someone, that doesn’t look like you or doesn’t believe in things as you do, is living in the same place as you or is competing for the same job as you… There are bigger issues today… life is one of them…<P>What I’m really trying to say is:<P>“OUR LIVES are much more important than anything!!!”<P>Please let’s learn to tolerate our differences… let’s help each other (as Scott said) without thinking about our color or beliefs… let’s respect the differences that make us free souls…<P>I’m sorry if I offended someone… That was not my goal… I’m really sorry…<P>If do I believe in strike back??? HELL YEAH!! I think no violent act against INOCENT people should remain without pay back… but after that… let’s put more love in our souls…<P>PEACE AND LOVE!!! uncle ted...thanks for the heartfelt words.<P> Please translate your sentiments to Arabic and let Middle Eastern people know that Allah will not be mad if they direct their fanatical religious beliefs towards someone else. They hate the USA because we are allied with Israel and they believe that their oppression is a direct result of that alliance. You can't fix crazy my friends...<P> If you're successful in translating these sentiments to the people that perpetrated this heinous act of war...tell them to take off their Levis and their Nikes...and STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE USA! They want a fight...they got it!!!

Richie,<P>i agree man... you must feel very sad and diapointed... i also feel this way...<P>if only the Arabic and the people from Israel could understand my words... it's amazing how, here in brasil, both comunities can get along with each other...<P>yesterday night, i was watching the news and they made a special show featuring an Arabic and a Israelian who created an association to support both of their people here in Brasil... the flag of the association is a mixed flag from Israel and the black/white/red/green flag from the palestinians...<P>let's just pray for the lost souls and wish that some day the intolerance on mid-east ends...

it's a shame that a small radical group of people can cast a shadow of prejudice over an entire population... I'm sure there are a great many people in the mid-east who are horrified that someone chose to illicit their protest through violent means. I'm sure they will understand, that just as thousands of innocent Americans got in their way('collateral damage' I believe is the term)that they must feel the same pain when we turn their *entire* country into a sandbox. The 'sleeping giant' has awoke and NOBODY will fuck with us like this again.

To all my American friends, traders, and brothers ; I have spent the last 48 hours at work covering this indescribable,cowardly act, and I still can't believe my eyes. I'd like to take a minute to tell you all that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you guys. I'd also like to call on all my fellow Canadian traders to do the right thing, and go donate a pint of blood for our friends in NY and Washington, (as I did on a break today). On a more personal note, I hope America kicks the MOTHERFUCKING SHIT out of the pricks who did this. We're with you guys, Canada stands behind our friends to the south, and we're ready to help in any way we can. God bless...

To all involved in this attrocious act... my heart goes out to you. Fabio... your words touched me, I could not have put it better myself. I was listening to Hagar`s "Sympathy for the Human" in the car this morning.....made me think, if only we can get past our nationalities and religions and focus on our similarities... maybe the world would be a better place? Wow, you guys "said it all". I'm in total agreement with everyone. I especially like what Damn Good said; they didn't just attack the U.S., they attacked decomcracy and the Western world.
