As most of you may know by now, the VH Trade Auction House is now open. We're going to try this for a while to see how it goes, so the success of this site feature is up to you. Just a quick question Scott..
I know Ebay will close any auction selling a frankenstrat replica guitar. Is that kind of thing okay here?
I don't have one to sell or anything. I'm just curious. |

hmmm, i not sure who said that they close the guitar auctions, but they are still up there

in fact if you search under van halen guitar for highest paid right under this one is a very nice body only thats stripped, not that i'm promoting it or anything |

| Most likely it will be closed here as well. You can take your chances, but I may get a letter/e-mail from the "powers that be", because I know they're watching (how closely, I can't tell you :uhoh: ). |

It doesn't look like anyone is using the auction site. It seemed like a good idea too me but I guess people aren't ready for it. Or they don't really know about it.

Jason I think a lot of people are a little apprehensive because these forums aren't a "proven thing" and a "household name" like eBay is. Plus, I haven't exactly been advertising the hell out of it. I'll give it a few more months and see what happens. |

I went ahead and pulled the Auctions down. It was worth a try, but not everything can be successful. :)

I think the auctions didn't work b/c there just aren't enought people around to run one, but it's always great to try something. I'm glad to see things like that, it's great to see new ideas, whether they work or not, keep 'em coming! :thumb: |
