I had a strange thought the other day. If something happened to my collection, how would I obtain another copy of a rare show. To "immortalize" my collection, I want to spread it around.

Check out my list at <list removed for the time being> and everyone pick 10 discs of Sammy boots that are not in wide circullation. I'll be glad to seed them. Try to pick stuff that's not on everyone else's lists. I want to circulate some rare material if possible.

Also, I'm trying to get my hands on any Sammy bootlegs I do not have. Especially the one's on my wish list. I cannot find the Irving Plaza 2002 show in a non-mp3 source for my life. Also, I'm looking for any 2003 shows that are available.

Again, you guys tell me what you want to tree. :thumb:

I'm trying to get my fill of stuff from 2002..

05/17/2002, "Untitled", Las Vegas, NV, 2 CDR, B+, features Planet Us
05/18/2002, "Untitled", Las Vegas, NV, 2 CDR, A-, features Planet Us
08/14/2002, "Sammy Gets A New Shirt", Hershey, PA, 2 CDR, B+

Cool idea! I can help you tree... of course, this may be a multiple tree kinda thing, so I don't know how involved this will get!

I can recommend a few (what I believe to be) rare selections:

-------
These two are sourced from radio vinyl records. Sammy bootlegs from this early in his career are a little hard to come by.

04/??/1977, "Rock Around The World", Austin, TX, 1 CDR, A+, radio vinyl source

12/??/1978, "Rock Around The World", Hollywood, CA, 1 CDR, A+, radio vinyl source

-------
This is sourced from the UNINTERRUPTED broadcast and is from the official Rockline discs sent to radio stations. It includes the lost recording of "The Seventh Seal". Also has some "Not For Sale" songs.

03/12/2003, "Rockline", San Fransisco, CA, 2 CDR, A+, radio CD source, includes uninterrupted broadcast, features Joe Satriani with Planet Us

-------
This was sourced from a home video from FanFire.com. Its a little bassy but still great.

01/29/2000, "Sundance Film Festival", Park City, UT, 1 CDR, A+, sourced from home video of same name

-------
This is from a radio broadcast. Its a really close, heavy sounding and personal show. It has a killer version of Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women". It sounds along the line of "Secret Gig".

10/22/2002, "The Sonic Sessions", Emeryville, CA, 1 CDR, A+, FM source

-------
An acoustic set from the premier of "The Long Road to Cabo".

09/17/2003, "Jim Ladd's Living Room", Anaheim, CA, 1 CDR, A+, FM source, acoustic set

-------
Another Sammy radio show sourced from the actual broadcast discs.

03/20/1999, "Red Voodoo World Premier Broadcast", Los Angeles, CA, 2 CDR, A+, radio CD source, includes pre-show interviews

-------
A soundboard of a show from Vegas in 99. Sammy does an early version of "Stand Up" and covers Billy Idol's "White Wedding". Not the rarest but pretty essential.

11/12/1999, "Shorts in Vegas", Las Vegas, NV, 2 CDR, A+, covers Billy Idol's "White Wedding"

-------
Not really rare but if you need one Sammy bootleg, you need this one. Sammy's songs never sounded heavier.

10/12/1984, "Cobo Wabo", Detroit, MI, 2 CDR, A+, FM source

These are all perfect sounding shows.

If anyone else sees anything, let me know. Again, I'm not totally sure what is rare and what isn't.

I've been itching to hear this Rockline broadcast for awhile, along with one of the Vegas shows from 2002 - anything with the Planet Us material, basically - so it'd be great to hear any of those!

Thanks for offering up to do this. :thumb:

:thumb: Thanks, I'll keep this one going for another week at most to see if anyone else can recommend anything. I'm finishing up a few trades now.
