Hey guys...I've recently recieved some great sounding shows with gaps between the songs so I thought I'd experiment. I got it perfect...only thing is it records as 1 big track. If anybody has any shows they would like gaps taken out of shoot me an email and we can work something out. :thumb:

Splitting the track up into smaller tracks is fairly simple provided you know the time stamps of the track where you want them to be split.
How are you removing them anyways? I've always wanted to expirament with the issue, but I don't have a show with 2 second gaps in them.
But as far as splitting the show. Make a CUE sheet disc image of a normal disc, then make a CUE sheet disc image of the disc you want to split up. EAC does this just fine.
Go into the CUE file (its just a txt file... open it in wordpad) ... look at the normal CUE sheet as to see how it is split up into tracks. Then split yours up in the same fashion. Then reburn.
Also, are you sure the show wasn't mp3 sourced? There are ways you can tell... or you can upload a small wav file (lossless format of any kind, i don't care) to my box, and I can do a small analysis :D (link is below)

| I swear, we need to rename this place to the MP3-2 Sec gaps Trade Forums. We've got more talk on it than real VH news :thumb: |

Okay, Here's how I have been doing it..Probably the long way around...
Downloaded something called MP3CUTTER VERSION 2.0 {FREEWARE}(www.download.com)which will split decent size shows down to the milli-second (you may have to split shows in half that are over an hour and a half or longer)
Then NERO BURNING TOOL has an option to remove 2 second gaps...it has worked well for me, although getting track cuts to be exactly where you want them CAN be a lil time consuming and frustrating.....
By the way, this is for shows that were downloaded, not already burned to CD... |
