evidently grew up with Eddie. Terry also played on a few DLR albums (and
is burned out from ever working with him again). Terry is a real
character, and has been a fountain of information on Ed's early amp and
guitar setup. You have to ignore the fact that he doesn't really use

I JUST GOT WORD FROM FRIENDS OF THE BROTHERS that they will be releasing a
new lp very soon new label,manager the works, and guess what. SAMMY HAGAR
will be joining the boys for this round.according to alex van halen edward
and sam have a few things to iron out but otherwise more than half the
material is in the can,ready or not here they come xpect to see them later
this year.no they have not given up they just regrouped got there politics
straight and are off and running .AND THEY WILL NEVER PLAY WITH DAVID LEE
ROTH again so please yall get over it.ed will never work with dave
again,lol and if he asked me back he have to morgage his house because id
want an awful lot of money to put up with his eccentric BS besides for all
intensive purposes hes finished in the music biz but so are a lot of other
people more talented than he will ever be....GO GET EM ED AND AL..YES AND
sammy and mike will be there too .....dont believe all the hogwash the
press churns out,.they have no information,so they make it up as they go

VH fan, then you might want to go troll over there - some of the threads

Cool... just hope it's not BS. I'll be the first in line to buy the CD, and then to get my tickets, (in several locations across Canada, and the U.S.). :thumb:

Just read it on the mailing list, apparently he's going to Alex's house tonight and may have an update. There's so many rumors now, but this guy is pretty legit, just more waiting....we'll see.

Off the subject but.... I was listening to Balance last night and like I have always thought, it is their best cd in my opinion. The music is just straight in front of you. The band is super tight. I really loved the image that they conveyed in 1984 and would love to live that again but Balance is tops!! Sammy and the brothers are a great fit musicly. I don't know what to make of their relationships though..... I read an article in an acoustic guitar mag with Lindsey Buchingham and he was talking about how he wanted to get back into Fleetwood Mac after he did his solo stuff. After being solo for a while it made a healing so to speak of in himself that might not of ever happened. I have to believe that that might be what is in order for the VH brothers to get back in the game. I find it kinda weird that Gary was gone after just one cd after all the good stuff Ed said about Gary. I think record sales told Eddie that is was a bust and that might have meant more to Eddie than we'll ever know. I hope I didn't offend anybody... just my opinion. Later Alan

Wow, this kind of rumor reminds me of the old days in the Pleasure Dome a couple years ago. After getting excited over rumor after rumor, it's hard to invest any kind of feeling at all any more. It just comes back to the same addage:
No news is good news—OOPS! ...I mean... I'll believe it when I see it.

Hopefully it's true, but me being a skeptic (and from the Show-Me State of Missouri); I'm going to have to say that I'll believe it when I'm in the store buying the new CD. There's just been to many "friends of the band's" saying that they know what is going to happen with Van Halen. If it does happen, more's the pity for Dave. I'm not knocking any Dave era fans out there, but I bought his new album & now that I've listened to it; I'm sitting here at the moment wondering why I got it. :zzz:
