I use Sonic Solutions DVD-It PE.
Not the best, but it does the job.
In September I will upgrade to
Adobe ENCORE DVD becaues it will integrate seamless into my production workflow. Im a Premiere user, as well as After Effects, so it's makes the most sense.
I've heard people say good things about Ulead's DVD Workshop and Vegas Video's DVD Architect.
(SF just sold their software buisness to Sony to save the company from bankruptcy so I don't know what the future holds for customer support of upgrades.)
The best place to look for info is www.dvdrhelp.com.
As far as buying, I've always had good luck with www.videoguys.com.
The DVD software market is on the cusp of a major change right now so if you can wait a couple of months until all the latest software is out you will benefit of getting the latest version with the most features.
Save your pennies though because I haven't seen many good progras under $200.
Good Luck! |

Hey
Tmpgenc DVD Author is really cool and is super easy to use. Great if your new at authoring and want to get up and running quickly... Has some cool functions like the ability to join VOB's also so you can merge stuff from other DVD's etc... |

| If all you wanna do right now is make copies of what's available, Nero works pretty well. Personally for just copying music DVDs for trading, I use RecordNow...Max for my desktop, and DX for my notebook with my external burner. Both work exquisitely ;) |
