| I thought I read in one of the "rumors" that was been posted here that Sammy might end up announcing that he might have been working the VH bros. again at that concert? Was that tonight and if it was, anyone have any info? |

| Yeah Sammy has a concert tonight and it has been rumoured that he will announce his joining up with the VH bros during the concert. It has been favoured to be true because of the official news of Sammy's long time friend and keyboardist suddenly quitting from the Waboritas over anger. Sammy apparently announced that he won't be delivering his bandmates their paychecks for the rest of the year. Why? An answer might be that he is busy with another project (VH??? Let's hope). I guess we'll be hearing within a few hours if he does make this official announcement. |

I went to the show. It was great. Unfortunatley, there was no mention of a VH reunion, or VH at all.

That sucks about not having an announcement, however; I like hearing that Sammy isn't going to be paying his current band members (nothing against them of course)... but typically, the money trails are the ones that don't lie. And we know how long any member from VH in general takes to announce anything (which is riduculous).
But if something doesn't happen from this, its likely they'll loose my full support for anything years down the road. If this doesn't work, start doing solo projects, and consider the old VH dead and let every do solo stuff. |

I read on Ed's (not EVH) Van Halen Domain this...
"EVH: "It will be sooner rather than later"
January 9, 2004
DJ's Dwyer & Michaels, "The Two Dorks" of KCQQ in Davenport, Iowa again called Edward Van Halen and scored an exclusive interview with the legendary guitarist. This time however, they asked about the rumor that Sammy Hagar will be possibly announcing his reunion with Van Halen at a benefit show in Walnut Creek, CA this evening, and maybe Van Halen actually making an appearance at the show.
Click here for a teaser of the full interview that Dwyer & Michaels will be releasing to their website this Monday, January 12th.
I will post more on Monday after the full interview is released."
We will have to wait and see what Ed has to say. |

Hey Bill,
That's cool you were at the show :thumb:
Did anyone replace Jesse Harms or did Sammy
play guitar himself?

Jesse Harms was the keyboard player. No keys last night from what I've heard. |

Saw this message a little late.
Nobody played keyboards. Rumor before the show was that Sammy's son was going to do it, I guess because he did while they were in Cabo.
Wish I brought my camera and recorder to the show. They didn't search anyone :D |

| I'm on the Sammy Hagar Mailing List and Sammy sent a message to Paula (she runs the list) that his band IS on the pay roll for the year 2004. He also told of Jesse quitting the band to have more time to write and produce. |

| I v'e read a post from a magazine a while back that he does and gives his bandmates their paychecks or yearly salaries despite if their playing or not.He is so filthy rich now with his resorts and Tequila. But it just shows to show you what a really nice guy Sammy is.My father and I met him in CaboWabo he has a african american lawyer that is his lawyer well my dad and I were his guest and got to sit in the Vip lounge last year.Sammy is a real gentleman.I am a fan of both Dave and Sammy but would rather be suck in a elevator with Sammy.Just thought I would tell a story. |
