Are any of the branchs willing to accept another leaf? I signed up for the tree but my branch informs me that he will only accept certain brands of discs. I just bought a new spindle of blanks and don't want to have to buy more. I have a large list to offer in trade. Please contact me at live_showz@hotmail.com if you can help.

The reason I'm specific in brands is because in the past I have bought a 10 pack of Memorex and I had 9 coaster and 1 good burn. I would of taken any brand if you would of ask me and told me what you had. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it but sometimes there is nothing I can do because my burners won't recognize certain brands. Anybody who has been my leaves in the past know I do my best to take care of ya.
You should of just asked me and we could of worked something out and that's why I put this at end of my email....If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email......Ory  |

Just wanted to add that I use Memorex 4x DVD-R and test everything in two DVD players I own to be sure there are no problems (never had a problem yet!). As for the current trades for the two shows (Rape Of The Vaults Part II and DLR 1999), I'll be sending everyone TDK 2x DVD-R's and NO Memorex. By the way, Oryo is a respected trader and as like all traders/branches, we aim to make everyone happy and accomadate according to any special requests. Just my 2 cents!

Try Maxell 4x DVD-R'S, I burn at 2X. I buy bundles of 25 from Future shop and they rock. I haven't had hardly any failures on my G4 MAC Burner, and none on my DMR Standalone unit.
By the way ORY is a top notch trader, Very cool to deal with. |

As far as brands go, Memorex, Maxell, Verbatim... they will constantly use different manufactures. Memorex doesn't make the discs they buy them from a DVD manufacture like CMC or Ricoh. So you may get discs from a different manufacture now compared to 1 month ago. It's the manufacture of the actual disc that's important, but it's still dependent on the type of drive/player you have and how compatible the disc is with your gear.
Some of the highest quality discs out now are from Ricoh and Ritek. You typically need a program to identify the discs manufacture.
DVD Identifier works well. |

| For myself i use Memorex all the time. I burn in 2x speed as well just to make sure.I'm with Rock and Roll Video with the Maxell as well. When they are on sale i'll buy about 50 of them. Most traders will take just about any disc as long as it is a good name brand. Also been reading buy discs that are MADE IN JAPAN for good results.Be careful though as some TDK are made in Japan and some in Korea depends if you get them in cases or spindles. Now i've also been hearing the FUJI are going to Korea as well.As far ORY goes i just did a trade with him and i gave him a choice of 4 different brands and all he said was you choose just not Memorex and that in my books is more than fair. I usually keep 3 or 4 brands on hand if i can. These are just my opinions though and i don't claim to be any sort of expert. Happy trading all :thumb: |

This was the email I sent all my leaves:
I'm your branch for this tree and I should be getting the ROTV II disc in a day or so and the DLR 99 I have now because I'm the one who reauthored it.
I will do either a 2:1 trade or 1:1 dvd trade.
I accept only Sony, TDK, Fuji, Maxell, Ritek, and they can be either DVD+R or DVD-R.
I do not accept Memorex because I've had to many problems with them in the past.
You can send to:
My mailing addres
I will need your mailing address and if you want only one of the discs or both of the discs.
If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email......Ory
I'm sorry if you just bought a spindle of Memorex but what am I suppose to do when I've had so many problems with those discs. Both of my Pioneer burners like that brand. Every brand of DVDR burners are different in what kind of media work best. They are not like cdr burners were they will accept any brand you give them.
Thanks for the kind words guys and anybody who has traded with me in the past knows I try my best to make that person happy.
I can't wait to see ROTVII!!! |

My 2 cents.
I use Memorex all the time and have only wasted about 3 discs out of 200. I've gone through about 4 50 dvd spindles and haven't had any problems.
Oryo, sorry to hear you have problems with those dvds. Best buy always have them onsale, so they are usually a good deal for me.
Carry on |

Did I mention I use a Plextor PX-708A DVD burner? Still the #1 rated burner according to ALL computer related magazines! ;-)
