Just go thome a short time ago from the show. No surprises (same as most set lists). They sounded great. Eddie was on! Awesome show! More tomorrow. I've got to get some sleep. See them next week in St. L.

 This show was MINT!!!

The guys were great and as always... looked like they were having a blast!!! There were only a few empty seats... as basically the United Center was packed to the gils. Interesting note to the show was that eddie ran into a few techinical guitar issues with the foot pedal machine and/or chord from his guitar during a few songs during the show (Ain't talkin bout love). Problem is i don't recall exactly which song the technical issues arose. (only 3 hours of sleep, sorry) I can say that it was towards the middle to end of show. These issues did not really impact the show as the band adjusted well and kept playing while eddie changed guitars (twice) during the issue and had the techy guy change chords. I'm no x-pert on that stuff. This was my 14 year old son's first show... and he was in heaven... yapping how he finally got to see live eddie and the boys. During eddies solo my son chatted eddied, eddie, eddie, just like the rest of us as he was so into it!!!

Oh yeah, I will say this... NO rust at all in the boys. I highly recommend gooing out and seeing the show... We're are trying to get Green Bay tickets for this Friday.

Anyways the setlist is below as I remember it. Please adjust if my notes are wrong.

01) Intro... Helllloooo Baaaaaaby!!!!
02) Jump
03) Runaround
04) Humans Being
05) Up For Breakfast
06) Bass Solo
07) Somebody Get Me a Doctor
08) Poundcake
09) It’s About Time
10) Drum Solo (God of Thunder shook the place)
11) Top of the World
12) Unchained
13) Why Can’t This Be Love
14) Eagles Fly (Sammy Solo on Guitar)
15) Deeper Kinda Love (Sammy Solo on Guitar)
16) The Seventh Seal
17) Best of Both Worlds
18) Guitar Solo
19) Dreams
20) Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love
21) Right Now

Encore:
22) You Really Got Me
22) Panama

Encore:
23) When It’s Love

I actually bought a couple of shirts and I picked up the one with the Van Halen KICKS ASS on the back of it... My wife checked it out this morning and said your old and you have a 3.5 year old daugther! I guess for at least a little bit, I was that kid in high school again and it was AWESOME :D

Soman - that is SO awesome. I'm truly jealous. I was wondering if you were going last night or tonight. I'm bummed that I'm not able to make either. But sometimes that's how it goes. Glad you had a great time, you deserve it and that's what it is all about.

Scott - that's very cool that you were able to take your son. My daughters are a little too young but they still say they want to go to shows. Kindda funny when I'm paging through the Rush tour book and my 3 year old is sitting on my laptop and look at the tour book and points to a live shot and says, "Daddy I want to go there !" I just have to smile and say "Someday, someday".

Marfish - I think we're all that guy :) .

steecoe, I wish knew you were in town... I know that Ron was suppose to go on Monday and that Scoobie was either going Monday or Tuesday... To tell you the truth... it would have been impossible to figure out who was who... but it would be good to put some faces to names, maybe next time!

Too bad it is in the middle of the week. My drunk driving skills are way the hell out of practice and a 5 hour drunken trip is out of the question LOL... BUT a 2.5 hour trip to Moline??? Maybe!!! The Boys should be much more polished by then... Hmmm. what a good idea
