The artwork gallery has been revamped. It now has a cleaner look and is database-driven, so it should run a bit faster. It also has an auto-thumbnail feature; just upload any image and it automatically create a smaller thumbnail image for it. This also will speed things up, as the older gallery simply resized any images without thumbnails and it took forever for them to load on a dial-up connection, particularly when looking at a whole gallery. It does lack the "small-med-large-full" resizer image feature, but I didn't think anybody really used it all that much.

The gallery has a new URL. If you have it bookmarked, please update it to:

http://www.vhtrading.com/forums/album.php

Another nice new feature is the personal gallery. Each VH Trade forums member gets their own gallery to upload images to for whatever purpose they want. With each gallery, you can store up to 50 pictures and add, edit, or delete as much as you want. The only thing I ask is no porn, nothing illegal or inappropriate. Just use common sense.

To access your personal gallery, just click on the "Your Personal Gallery" link near the bottom of the main artwork gallery page. Galleries are also accessable on each member's profile page.

Hey Scott is there a size restriction for the file. I'm not that smart with these things so i hope that makes sense. If i do upload artwork will it automatically resize it? :o

There's a file size limit of 500 KB. No, when you upload an image, it changes neither the memory size nor pixel width and height.

I've tried a couple things, and no, it won't resize them, not that I've seen. It IS pretty liberal, though. I've uploaded about 8 cool images to my gallery. Hope you all like em. Scott, thanks for adding this - it ROCKS !

I looked around the gallery today and the things that I missed right away were:

1) The "Recent Uploads" list.
2) The ability to scale the images using the small/med/large/original size links.

Even though I know the small/med/large/full links just dynamically forced the browser to do the re-size, it was handy for seeing those really large images without going full-screen or scrolling.

Otherwise great work Scott! You've been busy!

You can if you have a photo editor like photoshop. You can send them to me and I can resize them if you don't.

The 20 most recent uploads are now on the main page.

I poked around quite a bit before I scrolled down on the Artwork page and saw them. ;)

Thanks Scott!

I used Irfanview - it's free, fast & very easy to use. :thumb:
