Does anybody know where I can get a high quality, gently used VCR? I don't want to invest a ton of cash into an old technology, particularly since VHS is disapearing with the DVD and Digital Recording craze... My VCRs are starting to get into bad shape and I still do some recording. I know, I should move to TIVO or Instant Replay, but I am also transferring some VHS to DVD and would prefer a machine that will provide good source signal for transfer... Preferably, I would like to get VHS/SVHS... I saw some very cool items on EBAY, but that stuff probably has been used and abused and the limited life of the heads are probably chewed up. Anybody know of any reputable and reliable sources... Thanks

Jeff, I'm in the same boat with you. I need to upgrade my VCR's. They're a couple (2-3)years old and have done their share of recording/playing.
VCR's are pretty cheap EVERYWHERE. You should be able to hook yourself up with a pair for about $100 bucks(or 1 - $40-50), even some SVHS.
Thanks for reminding me! :D |

| I'm trying to find a VCR that has S-Video output for transferring tapes to DVD. I've looked at all the electronic stores here and it looks like it's a dying breed. Lots of vcrs and DVD combos but nothing with that output. If anyone in Canada has any suggestions please reply. Thanks :uhoh: :( |
