Older, "archived" articles that still may be of some interest to you.

I've gotten rid of the old "Other Articles" page on this site. That page used to contain these links. Most of these are fairly old in terms of technology discussed -- some are from the early-to-mid-1990s, others are more recent. But since some of the information presented in them still may be of interest to you folks, I'll set up the links here for you to visit:

Bands That Allow Taping, compiled by Kurt Kemp

CD-R Articles, courtesy of Octave

DAT-Heads Market Posting, by Seth Breidbart. Information and specs on currently-available DAT decks and hardware.

DAT Recorders, Tapes & Tips, by Bruce Bartlett, with additional material from Art Munson and Mike Metlay

The Federal Anti-Piracy and Bootleg FAQ, courtesy of the RIAA.

Guide to Cassette Decks and Tape Trading, by Michael Bell.

Layman's Guide to Playback Azimuth Adjustment, by Dan Heend

The Live Taper's Survival Guide v1.0, by Jeff Maggard

New to DAT?, by Patrick M Chase. Patrick has summarized the many replies to his "how do I get started with DAT?" query to the DAT-Heads Digest.

Super Stereo Soundboard Recording, by Gary Davis. Making a live tape of your band, or someone else's? The SSS technique will give you a radical stereo recording.
