Just wanted to let everyone know I received my disc in the mail this morning. The person who made it put 4 or 5 songs on there from some bands I've never heard of along with a bunch of classic bands. So far the tracklisting is pretty cool, I love hearing music from bands I've never heard of. One of the classics is Black Sabbath's Sabbra Cadabra, wich just happens to be my favorite song by them so that was really a treat. I hope to have some time to really give this disc a good listen sometime this weekend.

are we supposed to make a mix cd? I was going to grab a bunch of boots from various bands and send them to my secret santa person.
Is this a 1 disc deal or are we supposed to send multipe shows. I was thinking about sending a dvd boot and a few audio's. |

I think GanjaGirl had just said send whatever you want. A mixed CDR, a live CDR, studio, live, whatever you want, just send something you think is cool. Multiple discs or single discs whatever you would think the person would like. Of course maybe I was mistaken, GanjaGirl will have to enlighten us. Hopefully if I can get my PC back up and running shortly I'll have something to contribute but that will be my little secret. |

Hey Jason...Frank was on the money. Send whatever you want to send. It can be live or studio material or even a complete show. The choice is yours. The whole idea behind this is to expose someone else to a new version of an old favorite or a new artist, etc. So get creative and have fun with it...the choice is all yours. :o)
Spool, glad yours arrived safe and sound....now the guessing begins. Once more people start to get theirs and post the info here we can try and figure out who sent what. I will most likely post all of the info after the xmas holiday but until then....my lips are sealed. ;) |

I got mine too and know who it is, but won't say anything as to not help others figure out their santa by process of elmination. :D

I received mine as well and although I know who my santa is I was still surprised at what I received. I couldn't have asked for a better disc! My santa truly knew what would make my heart race and my blood boil....THANK YOU!
Theirs will be going out on Monday as I have a few "goodies" to package up to show my appreciation.

I have to say this was a great idea! I really got a kick out of getting a surprise disc in the mail and hearing some songs I've never heard before. I didn't expect to enjoy the exchange this much, but I am a believer now. Can't wait for next year! :dance:

GG, I suggest you send another mass mail out to everyone on the exchange and tell them to be sure and post here and what is to follow--posting the set lists or whatever. Otherwise, we might not get much response here unless they all are curious enough to read this thread like me. :)
