If someone contacts me first and I don't know them, they send first. If I contact someone first and I don't know them, I'll play by their rules. I had two people contact me about stuff, told them to send first and they never did.

WORDS OF WISDOM... IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE PERSON...ONLY START OUT WITH NO MORE THAN 3 OR 4 DVDS.

That was my first dvd trade in several years and the FRANNZ PREMM guy
burned me pretty good. But, I have done so many great trades from this site I can't even count them all.

aomeone told the right thing ! ... ya know ! all of us are nice guys ... and we think that all the people are reliable like we are !

But ... i learned from the pat being ripped a couple of times !
Now ... if i don't know that well a guy ... i trade for 2 or 3 dvds , in this way i lost only 3 dvds .
Then i read the posts here and i can see if someone is reliable or not !

One time i knew i was going to be ripped , but i traded for a dvd ! I sayed to my mind ... poor this guy ... he tells me lyes for a ONE DVD ... i sent to him not expecting nothing in change !
And the cool thing is that he mailed me several times asking me if i had my dvd in excange for trade !
I know , now , after years of trades , if i'm going to be ripped !

These bad traders , most of the times are kids with no stuff ... that don't gotta buerners . Others are really ass holes and make profits behind our being kind !
Ahhhh ... I hope that Darth Vader one day will take care of em ;) YUNNKKKKK ;)

Sorry to hear you got ripped off mate. The largest trade I have ever done is a 12 disc'er, and that was with someone I knew pretty well. I tend to go for trades of around 4 - 8 discs. New traders who contact me out of the blue must always send their end first. Always start with a small trade, like Ed says 'baby steps'. You must be a very trusting person to send 37 discs out!

I learnt my lesson back in the days when we were still trading on VHS which was far more expensive and time consuming than DVD trading is now.

Sort of going off topic, but once I got an e-mail and the guy said " I have 50 metallica shows you don't have and want to trade for 50 shows". When I told him I don't do that big of trade for a first trade I never herd back from him. This is not the same guy that this topic is about, but you should never do a big trade with someone you never have traded with before.

Unless they are sending to you first.

I don't think I would do I big trade even if they sent first. When ever I have set up a some what of a big trade somthing allways went wrong (lol) :D
