At VHTrading.com we have always been friendly and open to newbies and fans of all eras. We all know that everyone must start somewhere, so I want this site to remain hospitable towards all new traders so that they can easily get their hands on some great unreleased music (and hopefully return the favor someday).
Unfortunately, there's always a few bad apples that have been trying to spoil it for the majority of others...they don't hold up their end of the deal in trees, or worse, complete the trade but post their boots for sale on eBay.
To help curb these things from happening, many experienced traders have given their suggestions and I have come up with the following minimum requirements for participation as branches and leaves in trees. You must have:
1. 30 posts or more on the forums. (Half of those posts cannot be from tree sign-ups)
2. Have been a member for at least three months on the first date of tree signup. (For example, if the signup thread is started on 2/01/05, you must have been a member on 11/01/04 or before to sign up)
3. Have a feedback rating of 3 or higher. (All it takes is one smooth trade with someone else to push your rating up to a 4 or 5)
All aforementioned requirements are waived if you have previously served as a branch (regardless of whether it was a CD or DVD tree).
If you sign up as a branch then all the eligility requirements will be waived.
All participants must meet all three of these criteria. These rules will be strictly enforced. We are trying to be as fair as possible but we do want each trader to have some history and experience on the forums and with other traders.
If the seed or administrator of a tree would like to set even stricter requirements for his/her particular tree, they may do so. It is up to them to post the modified requirements clearly so that everyone can see them. If for some reason you feel that they are many unfair, please do not e-mail me concerning it.
Keep in mind that the implementation of these rules are directed to no one person in particular, so please don't take it personally if you feel at any moment that you might be singled out.
These rules apply to any tree started on or after 12:00 noon CT 1/23/05. |
