Hello People...
I know probably this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it when I searched the forum...
I bought the other day a copy of a silver bootleg called "Diver Down Uruguay"... At the end of the 2nd disc there are like 4 or 5 bonus tracks from the US Festival 1983...
Now, I got this show the other day too, and the quality is far below to what I heard in those bonus tracks... so my question would be, are there different versions from this festival?
I supposedly got the bootleg called "US Festival '83", but I think I read that there is a better quality one called "California Calling - Listen to this Jimmy"... Maybe the tracks from the Uruguay boot are coming from this second one?
If any of you can confirm that, I would like to trade for that show... The show is killer but the quality of the bootleg that I got is not... If you have one that you know is the best quality drop me an email and let's trade...
Thanks!!!! |

| The ones at the end of the Uruguay boot were probably the ones recorded for HBO (or was it Showtime??) for a special on the '83 fest. Those tracks are at the end of several boots (South American Asault, IWTFYG, etc.) The whole show at that quality doesn't exist.....as far as I or anyone I know of. |

I DO BELEIVE THAT THE "SHOWTIME" VERSION IS ACTUALLY STUDIO VERSIONS WITH CROWD NOISE MASKED IN. LISTEN TO THE SHOWTIME VERSION AND THEN LISTEN TO THE COMPEATE SHOW, QUITE A DIFFERANCE YES?

| Kissero....I don't think 'California Calling' is necessarily any better than the other US Fest boots out there but I've got it if you need it. |
