Dennis DeYoung, formerly of Styx is playing in Chicago, this Saturday the 26th, at the House Of Blues.

The House Of Blues in Chicago is General Admission, so show up as early as you wish to get whatever spot you want. Plus if you purchase an entree at the House Of Blues' Back Porch restaurant, which is right on sight below the concert hall, you can pass the line and get priority admission. One entree per ticket.

If you ever were, or are a Styx fan, this really is a must see show. Dennis still has it, his voice has held up, if has not gotten better. Contrary to all the 'rumors', he still does rock, and especially this show. He is doing a couple of shows called-

'LOST TREASURES DENNIS DEYOUNG: THE MUSIC OF STYX.' Here are some details-

Ok, the details-


"An intimate evening of classic rock featuring lost Styx treasures such as UNFINISHED SONG, BEST THING, PIECES OF EIGHT, QUEEN OF SPADES, BORROWED TIME, plus all your favorite Styx classics including 8 top 10 hits such as LADY, BEST OF TIMES, COME SAIL AWAY, and Styx rock anthems SUITE MADAME BLUE, CASTLE WALLS, GRAND ILLUSION, LORELEI, ROCKIN' THE PARADISE plus many more! This 2 1/2 hour live concert showcases the talents of legendary singer/songwriter/record producer Dennis DeYoung with his 5 piece rock band"


Many of these songs have not been played in a long time, if ever.....


These couple of 'Lost Treasure Shows' came about due to-

"The complete Wooden Nickel Recordings will be remastered versions of the first four Styx albums and released on FEB 15 as a 4 CD box set. Included as a bonus track will be a rare recording of UNFINISHED SONG and will also feature BEST THING - the first song DeYoung wrote and recorded with Styx."



These tickets were given to us by a friend as a gift. My wife is just busted up that we cannot go, but I have been sick again for a while now and it doesn't seem like I am getting any better.

Our friend knows what The Van Halen Trade Forums means to us and how much we have received from here so he said to just offer them to someone here because he and his wife cannot go, nor can our other friends. The show has not sold out yet, most likely due to it being a holiday weekend. Typically, Dennis' Chicago shows sell out very fast because this is his hometown, where it all got started and he still lives there. It appears that there is no sense in trying to sell these on ebay he said, because other tickets for this show are not moving and why get just a couple bucks back, when you can give them to someone at a place that means the world to you!

He paid a total of about $117.00 for these tickets, the face value is $46.50 for each ticket.


If you are in the Chicago area or can make it there this Saturday night, it would make us feel just great if someone here could use these. Please only take these if you can really go, but whoever gets these WILL NOT be dissapointed! He puts on a great rock show!!

We have gotten so much from this site, and not just 'shows', so we'd like to give back a little and my friend who gave us these said it's just fine..GREAT idea! , because they are always hearing the stories about THIS place from us! :D
