--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is anyone interested in a remastered version of Iron Maiden's The Soundhouse Tapes 1979.
This version is from the vinyl of Best of the beast. Pops and hiss have been cleaned.
It sounds better than the cd version they were giving away a few years back. It is also better than the bootlegs going around for years.
It has 4 songs instead of the 3 that were on the original vinyl and the re-issued cd.

includes:

Prowler
Invasion
Strange World
Iron Maiden

PLEASE POST FOLLOWING INFO:

Thanks for all that are willing to participate...
but mostly thanks to Shawn, for remastering this vintage recording!!!

Branch or Leaf, doesn't matter.

...now I've got a question, Anyone up for adding these 4 tracks to the beginning of a comp I made? I'm without a soundcard right now so it's obviously not possible, but if someone wanted to match the sound levels up with this it'd be awesome. These were made from the Catle bonus discs that were available with the Maiden CD catalog for a couple months back in '95

Disc 1:
Burning Ambition
Drifter (live Marquee - London, England 4/3/80)
I've Got The Fire (live Marquee - London, England 4/30/80)
Women In Uniform
Invasion
Phantom of the Opera (live Marquee - London, England 7/4/80)
Running Free (Maiden Japan live Kosei Nenkin Hall - Nagoya, Japan 5/23/81)
Remember Tomorrow (Maiden Japan live Kosei Nenkin Hall - Nagoya, Japan 5/23/81)
Wrathchild (Maiden Japan live Kosei Nenkin Hall - Nagoya, Japan 5/23/81)
Killers (Maiden Japan live Kosei Nenkin Hall - Nagoya, Japan 5/23/81)
Innocent Exile (Maiden Japan live Kosei Nenkin Hall - Nagoya, Japan 5/23/81)
Total Ecplipse
Remember Tomorrow (live Italy 10/81)
I've Got The Fire
Cross Eyed Mary
Rainbow's Gold
King Of Twilight
Mission From Harry

18 tracks, total running time 78:20

Disc 2:

Number Of The Beast (live Hammersmith Odeon - London, England 10/84)
Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) (live Hammersmith Odeon - London, England 10/84)
Sanctuary (live Long Beach Arena - Long Beach, CA 3/85)
Murders In The Rue Morgue (live Hammersmith Odeon - London, England 10/84)
Reach Out
Juanita
Sheriff Of Huddersfield
That Girl
Black Bart Blues
Massacre
Prowler '88
Charlotte The Harlot '88
The Clairvoyant (live Castle Donington - Leicestershire, England 8/20/88)
The Prisoner (live Castle Donington - Leicestershire, England 8/20/88)

14 tracks, total running time 62:52

Disc 3:

Infinite Dreams (live Birmingham NEC - Birmingham, England 11/27/88)
Killers (live Birmingham NEC - Birmingham, England 11/27/88)
Still Life (live Birmingham NEC - Birmingham, England 11/27/88)
All In Your Mind
Kill ME Ce Soir
I'm A Mover
Communication Breakdown
Nodding Donkey Blues
Space Station #5
Roll Over Vic Vella
I Can't See My Feelings
No Prayer For The Dying (live Wembley Arena - London, England 12/17/90)
Public Enema Number One (live Wembley Arena - London, England 12/17/90)
Hooks In You (live Wembley Arena - London, England 12/17/90)

14 tracks, total running time 68:47

...the only thing that sucks is that "Mission From Harry" isn't really a song at all, it's a taped argument between Nicko, Steve, and Bruce. It's funny and deservrs to be there (since it's one of the b-sides), but it's better left as an end track on one of the discs so it doesn't interrupt the flow of the tunes. Besides that it's just a matter of adjusting the levels and moving some tracks from disc 1 to disc 2 and disc 2 to disc 3.

Alright, I guess it is kind of a pain in the ass...
