You've all noticed the board dragging at times, so I figured it was time to move on to a bigger and faster web server. I've set up a test forums on another server and have tried to tweak the code as much as I could to improve speed even more. I've been pretty pleased with the results.
Between Saturday/Sunday 4/30-5/1 the forums will be closed down for a short while the database files get backed up and restored on the new server. I have to migrate the trade page hosting & database files and the audio/video list files as well. I don't anticipate any problems, but as always, please back up any private messages or any information off of any threads that you may wish to keep just in case. Hopefully the whole thing will go smoothly.
In addition to improved performance, I'm also bumping up space on both the trade sites and the artwork gallery uploads. |

I was wondering about that, I'm sure the move is an expense. Does Scott have a method set up for people to donate? |
