I agree as well, being the newbie that I am, he's helped me out as well when I didn't have anything to trade. I wouldn't hesitate doing more trades with him in the future, he's good guy.

I also do not want to "poke" my nose in here...but look guys...all the sniping...that is not how this site has been the past year while I have been here. I have traded several times with Dokkendude and have had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. But you guys are going to let somebody sign up in one day and start all this shit with everybody...get over some of it...and grow up about the other parts...this "person in Italy" ...has got us here taking sides and being smart asses to everybody. Dont let some new person bring their dirty laundry to this site. I understand from the post that this was a trade waaaaayyy before the person joined vhtrading. Just check it out...like I said ...hate to poke in here...but since I have traded several times with D....and I did get a very good laugh out of nunobaker quote!...that is the fun we are supposed to have here...but then...2 days ago I was some other new persons view of Garys bitch...so what do I know??

Kent,

There will always (unfortunately) be bad traders and so this forum serves a purpose. Threads here are rarely "friendly" and never have been in my experience, unless only one of the traders posts here and so the other can't comment.

If someone who is well known as a good trader is accused by a newbie of being a bad trader then this kind of thread is almost bound to result. It's how real life works too - you defend your friends and family, especially when you know they are right.

By it's very nature, this forum is almost bound to have the most sniping - people don't come here because they are happy.

Dokkendude trades on a few other forums that I hang out and I have never heard anything bad about him until now and he is also on a bunch of vines and always sends out on time.

I'd hate to have these things happen without getting something out of them. If anything I am reminded to:

-Make the rules of the trade clear and confirmed with the other trader twice before proceeding with a trade.

-If it's a first-time trade, sometimes a tracking number is wise to get - in the US a simple delivery confimation for a few cents gives me peace of mind. If the trade is successful no need to do this again.

-Keeping open communication is key.

I know we all follow these basics, but sometimes we slip and forget. I know Dokkendude to be a great trader and I am yet to see him falter on a trade.

VHTrading is a great community of traders! :thumb:

The one thing I would like to see is more patience. If you get concerend about a trade, contact a few people you trust to see if they've traded with the person, recognize that things can be slow and do get lost.

I tend to think there's been some jumping to conclusions recently.

It was easily predictable Michael would get many supporters here. He plays home, i’ m just a visitor. But despite being a newbie on this forum, noone can deny me the right to tell things about your friend as they are. You call it democracy, don’ t you?
I never wrote Michael ripped me off. Once he said my attitude sucks, i want to let everybody know it’ s just the opposite. Michael never had the real intention to send his parcel again, despite what he declared. This is the reason why i called him liar. After i complained for not sending registered, he got seeking for every possible trick in order to find out any faults of mine. From the fact he didn’ t manage tracking my parcel (and i promptly did it for him), to the fact that my arwork cd was missing (and i immediately emailed all the covers i had got), to the fact that one dvd seemed to lack audio (and it was just to select the second audio track)… So his postal inquiry sounds like another attempt for him to take some time and seek for any excuse which would justify his real intention to resend no more. He said he never lost a parcel, and it’ s probably true. When things go fine we’ re all good traders. But when some trouble occurs, like now, the true attitude rises up. Hope that noone here will experience a parcel loss from Michael, cause i’ m afraid he would let you down, such as he’ s doing with me….

In both cases i will be more than happy to let everybody know if i will ever get the dvds he owes to me…

Quote: Didn't you read the FAQ?

It clearly states that all efforts should be made to send wives to the post office for all outgoing packages.

The only exception is when they've reached their eighth month of pregnancy.

I wish my wife would go to post office for me??? She always tells me it's your hobby do it yourself..LoL :thumb:

I second that. Dokkendude has been reliable in the vines that I have been involved in.

I know each situation is different, but as a newbie, one of my very first tree experiences was with Dokkendude and he was very gracious and helpful. :thumb:

Mike has been my branch at least two times and it has always gone very slick. He has always been super nice, had great communication, been fast, and even threw in a extra one time. :thumb:
