I sent 8 dvd's out for him at the beginning of May. We were supposed to send out at the same time. I sent him an email a couple of weeks after that asking if he had received my dvd's and sent mine out. He told me he hadn't received my dvd's yet and that mail from Canada takes a while. It's now been over a month and he has ceased communication completely. I even sent him an email saying I would post his name on every message board I am a member of. No response.
I trade with another guy from Canada all the time and it never takes more than a week or so for us to get our dvd's from each other so I know this guy is full of crap.
His info:
Paul Yavis aka "Paulo"
email: DOHERTY6607@rogers.com
location: Ontario, Canada
I guess that's another valuable lesson for me! I now know not to trade more than 3-4 dvd's with someone I don't know who contacts me. |

I have known mail from Canada take a month + to get to the UK, but to the US, yeah that seems over the top. But the Canadian mail service is incredibly slow so he might be telling the truth, no need to go incommunicado on you though.
1st trade, always insist that the other party sends first, if they contact me initially. If its the other way round, as you say, do a small trade to start with.

| Mail from Canada to U.S. shouldn't take more than a week. Maybe slightly more if there's a stat holiday in there. 2-3 shows for first time trades with me. :irked: |

It depends when talking about the US to Canada and Vice Versa. Ive gotten mail from the US 2 days after it was sent. Other times it has taken 10 days. Like Calfornia to me in toronto usually takes 9 days. New Jersey to me in toronto 9/10 days. It also depends...small towns are usually slower as well. Sometimes the mail is not picked up every day in smaller towns, so it gets delayed that way. But if you wait any more then 2 weeks for show from the US to Canada and Vice Versa, then there is a problem. Even if Customs does a check on your package it shouldnt delay it anymore than a few days and will always have customs tape on it when they check it.
I got a package here in canada from Sweden in 6 days...go figure.
Yeah, my advice in the future..if ya dont know them ..DON'T SEND FIRST.... |
