I'd say that they will perform again together, but not tour together.

(but I sure wish they would!!!)

I wish they would, but my answer is no. I also think they'll die without putting out live material which is ridiculous. No other major band has starved their fans like this one for live material, bonus tracks, stuff from the vaults. I hate them.

The best chance was after DLR recorded Me Wise Majic etc. A Japanese promotor offering $1 mil a gig and that never happened. The old saying is money talks, in this case it didn't. My answer is a big NO!
I agree with what Lou says too.

id like to think yes, but i dont know.
if you wanna talk sold out shows then yes.
at some point of time you think the money would talk...
and if not dave, then like journey and priest they could find someone like dave, which would not be too hard to do. look at ralph with the atomic punks, not only does he look and act like dave, but he can STILL sing LIKE dave, unlike dave, which is kinda important...
i just hope they dont do another balance tour again, only the last one was piss poor.
the songs i wanna hear are dave era songs, i do not think im alone, this is the reason i like some of the gary era live stuff, never did think he got a fair shake...
i wonder if paul and ringo look back and say shit we should have done it :uhoh:

Never say never, this year we've seen Cream, Pink Floyd and even Peter & Gordon reunite! Will VH w/ Dave tour? Highly unlikely. Will they ever perform together again? I'd like to think so. There's always the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. If they ever get INDUCTED! (You listening Jan Wenner?)

I hope so ... young fans like myself are the new generation of Van Halen fanatics, it would be great to see the old times. It would be something to brag about.

i don't think it's going to happen...but you know... :sus:

...maybe Sammy will be fired again, and Dave, will accept to rejoin the band... :D

the problem is money...sad but true: someone said that Sammy signed for 25 millions dollars. We have seen some good shows... :D

Dave probably would accept to sing for 50 millions...and the bad would make solds out on every corner on the planet...i'd be happy: we should also ask Eddie if he's happy too...

The strangest thing of this band, is the MUSIC: i mean, a whole new record was written in 97 and published in 98...we have seen how many copies sold... even if the tour was a great tour. :)

Now: i think that with dave, a new record,11 tracks, would be recorded in no more than a month...seen the fact that the music is still written. :D

It's clear , at this point that the band, i mena Edward, the owner, does not care : of the music, of the fans , of everything. :(

...i'm a musician, like probably many orf you out there, and i think that if you want to write and record your music, the only think you can do, is just to do it.

Go in the studio, record it, mixed and put it out...pro tools can give you a hand...

and Ed said that he has music for " at least 10 fucking records"...

we should have a new record for the next 10 years... :D

it's all related to money, and related to Ed's Head. It's up to him. :(

...yes, it's up to him, the future of van halen depends on him only :(

but if he doesn't care, what should we expect from him ? :(

i don't know what to think about. :(

thanks to this site, i had benn able to see and hear a huge amount of music that WOULD NEVER APPEAR...

WITHOUT THIS SITE, I WOULDN'T KNOW ALL I KNOW OF MY FAVOURITE BAND. :thumb:

to listen to new music...i'll probably by in october the new of Nickelback...it's not van halen, but it's fresh , new music...

I seriously doubt it :( and even if they could get over the major hurdles of.....

a) them not liking each other
b) Ed's psychological and alchohol problems
c) Dave's poor vocal state

..... at the end of the day it is 2005 not 1980, the magic of early VH is very much linked to the time period that they were around. Dave's raps and antics 25 years ago were funny, these days they just seem rather pathetique to me. Life has moved on, for both the audience and the band. True VH (ie with Dave) was awesome at the time and that is how it should be remembered, in the time frame 74-85. I doubt a re-union could live up to the legend. I'd still go see them if they did get it together and I would love to be proved wrong, but I have a feeling any re-union would be a big let down.

Its all acedemic anyway as they probably wouldnt tour outside the US/Canada anyway, theyve never given a shit about their "foreign" fans.

Wow, ChrisUK, you hit the nail on the head, you got it exactly correct. I couldn't agree more, every word.

I also agree you can never say never, I never thought we would ever see Waters and Gilmore on the same stage again. Michael Anthony did say between 1999 and 2003 they tried three times to reunite with David so they could try again and maybe it would stick, but I doubt it. Who knows. Time will tell.
