yeah...I jumped in late too...this project was done last year though...artwork also was finished....not the 2 sammy volumes though as I just emailed the person who did it...and its all digitally done as well....also...depending on what gen the tapes are you guys used....I'm thinking the quality side will be hurtful....what kind of soundcard are you using? hope its digital...a darla card works wonders....also how are you declicking and debugging?.....I really get the feeling this could be subpar....make sure you're USING HEADPHONES!!!!! when doing final mix downs!!!! or you'll never hear the annoying little shit that you'll hear when you play the discs in a stereo!!! and once you do....you'll be depressed!!! I just had 2 more shows digitally remastered...and they're both better then our other efforts....

;-))

First, I am new to trading, but I have heard of the Uncomps for years now. I used to be on the VHML a LONG time ago, (back when Sammy left) but left because of the trash talking.

This is a project I would like to be involved in somehow, even if it just trading someone else 2:1, maybe even 3:1, to get a hold of the CD's. I'd love to be able to get this to my brother as a surprise!

Let me know. The easiest way to contact me is larschristianson@hotmail.com

TIA,

Lars :thumb:

***I HAVE ALL OF THESE TAPES***

I believe there are 11 total... If anyone needs them who is capable, I would be willing to lend them as long as I were to receive them back, along with a copy of the discs. (I'd give blanks..)

I have a 2nd gen copy of them- barely played with all artwork. I'd rather send the tapes I have to avoid generational loss. Note: Obviously, I can only send them to one person!!!

If anybody has this capability and wants to do them all- email me. egorka@ptd.net

Please include me as a leaf. I know a guy with a birthday coming up who would be totally awestruck by these recordings. Thanks in advance. :D

My tape deck sucks, but I have SF 6 with the latest set of noise reduction plug-ins and restoration tools. If somebody could get these on cdr, I could run them through those, they work wonders. I couldn't really go through all of it myself manually, I remastered a WS show, and it took me about 6 months of on and off work, but I could set those up and put them through. Just offering if this thing ever gets up again. :thumb:

Andrea (alm5150) was kind enough to seed the first 7 tapes, but they appeared to have been high generation, and I wasn't certain if it was a worthwhile venture with just over half of the compilation, so it hasn't moved forward as of yet. I'm only up to S.F. 5, but if you need help with this, I'd be glad to do so.
