I would love some kick ass songs from Foo Fighter.These older bands that are performing are not what is needed.I could only think of my kids commenting on how boring ''The Who'' were.Its just normal as they only knew the CSI song.Anyhow the way to go would be having a new Artist or Artists accompanied with old legends.Somewhat like at the Grammy's with Eminem and Slash.

I thought Springsteen was pretty good...hard to give him 15 minutes and get the point across. I didn't like The Who at all. It looked like they were trying to hard. I'm curious as to the fans that you heard singing along during certain parts..."it's only teenage wasteland". Was it the stadium fans or some prerecorded fans? Either way, it was not one of their finer moments...and I'm a big Who fan.

I'm thrilled the Saints pulled it off ... sorry Colts fans. I thought it was ballsy of them to start the second half with an on-side kick ... dang, I didn't see that one coming.

As far as the half time show. I thought it was OK but no big deal. The Who, The Stones, McCarthy, blah, blah, blah ... don't get me wrong I like all those acts but I didn't think any of them were really great half time shows. I liked Aerosmith several years back and I thought U2 was awesome but everything is relative, I'm watching the game for the game not the stupid half time show. I also don't watch for the commercials but I did like the Betty White commercial and a couple of the Doritos were OK ... but I want to see the game not all the other B.S. ... maybe that's why I skip all the pre-game crap shows.

OK, off my soap-box.

I think I liked Aerosmith because they mixed things up a little bit and had other acts out there, Britney and Justin (was it), I'm not certain because I'm not big fans of theirs but Aerosmith was cool to be out there with other acts. U2 was cool ... well, just cuz U2 is cool and after the whole 9-11 thing it was cool to hear Walk On and have all the name on the screens.

I guess as long as the act is having fun and is not taking away from the game ... I'm cool.

...um... i don't know but this year the halftime show ( the who ) was nothing more than an ad for CBS's " CSI " tv shows..... ......not to mention the commercials this year sucked tooooo.... no funny ads to remember... at least the footbal game was good.....

I'm going to half to double check the calendar when I get to work later today....but I vaguely recall that I have to be in Honolulu on business in mid-April. I might have to call off my date at Club Rock-Za and go see Sammy instead!

Before Brad Gillis stepped in as Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist during the Diary of a Madman tour,... there was Bernie Torm�. Bernie started with Ozzy Osbourne's band on April 1st, 1982 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,... and was gone by April 13th, 1982, when Brad Gillis played his first show with the band in Binghamton, New York. Just about two weeks, which is probably why there was never much press about him during that time. About all I've been able to find about Bernie Torm� during his "Ozzy days" were a few small articles:

"Following the tragic death of Randy Rhoads in March of 1982, Ozzy spent a difficult period sifting through hard-rock guitarists trying to find someone who could fill Rhoads� shoes. First, he tried Bernie Torm�, a respected guitarist whose work with former Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan had been widely hailed by the English press. "I can�t imagine a more difficult spot to step into than to try to replace Randy. Bernie Torm� tried for a while and so did Brad Gillis", Ozzy said. "I�m very thankful for Bernie�s help, when Randy died I tried to contact every guitarist in the world and the only guy who was willing to step in was Bernie. He played with us for a couple of weeks, and every night he played like a f*ckin� star. But we all knew that his position was temporary. He had put together a band of his own (the Electric Gypsies) in England, and we knew that he�d want to return to that fairly soon."

If I could pick any band, obviously it would be Van Halen. As far as setlist goes I would like to hear Unchained, Mean Street, Fools and Take Your Whiskey Home.
Realistically though, bands that would actually do the Superbowl, I wouldn't mind seeing Godsmack do it. Have an actual kick as hard rock band up there. I would say AIC but they may be too dark for the Superbowl.
