I’m aware of the Hot For Teacher PRO clip from this 1984 MOR show. But I’ve never seen much more from this show out there (audience or pro).
This guy has some interesting/rare VH clips on Youtube (MrVanFaken), but most seem just like re-edits of footage and audio we’ve all seen before.

Except this short clip seems like some rare audience shot from 1984/Castle Donington. interesting?!?

I think most of that footage is from Germany… Its from a news clip.

The footage that does look like Donnington, looks to be footage towards the end of the show when the filmer gets closer. At least thats what I remember. I haven’t watched that footage in years.

The hand held cam footage from 0:12 is Donnington. Filmed by a guy with a short right leg  this was the closest zoom he got from what I remember, the rest of the show was filmed from the nearby city of Derby.

At some point in the very early 90′s I acquired a VHS of the Donington show.. it was terrible. Just awful. I basically watched it for the audio. It would be great to have anything from that MOR tour… there has to be something out there.

Here is a magazine clipping I copied from Ebay, but didn’t bother buying.

I’m just posting it because the two small pics on the bottom right of DLR with Vince Neil, and MA with his wife Sue. I hadn’t seen those ones around that often.

Here is a link to some MOR ’84 pics from Germany. Most have no doubt already seen, but figured I’d post it anyways just in case someone missed them.

Were these shows all during the day? If not, who was closing them? I can’t see anyone being in a hurry to go on after VH.

Looks like ACDC were the final act? That makes sense to me.

yup think ACDC closed all those shows. And there’s some great interviews of both. Think they were each trying to claim their superiority :-P

Thanks for posting that. Angus saw into the future with calling VH a pop band. I find it interesting for as much as you read about Alex hating Dave towards the end, they seem to be pretty OK in that interview.

yeah funny when Angus calls them a ‘pop band’
and you’re right…Dave and Al do seem pretty friendly even at this late date (Aug 1984)!
