This is from Van Halen’s show that took place on 09/17/04 at the Philips Arena, Atlanta, GA on the 2004 Reunion Tour with Sammy Hagar.
. This is supposedly from Ed’s IEM (Inner Ear Monitor) source. So it’s basically soundboard quality..

Yes, the whole thing is from Eddie’s IEM. You can get this one off dime. It’s often mislabeled as ALD though.

I’ve never seen Ed wear an IEM, but this recording could have been made from his on the floor monitor feed.

As a guitar player, this is difficult to listen to. I am not sure if Ed could play much worse than this. If Ed were to listen to this today, I am sure he would shake his head, and cringe.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!
