I’ve been told by traders & read on various sites that the Verbatim +R dual-layer’s are the best out there. I’ve burned quite a few of them using IMGburn and never had a problem.<br

The lazer burns the information on the first layer and then I believe adjusts to a new angle for the second layer. I believe that is how the double capacity is acheived. Again I’m no expert on it so I’m not certain of all the details. I recall authoring a Dual Layer discs and not having the proper “Layer Break” and having problems burning the disc. I had to go back into the authoring program and specify where the “Layer Break” was to get a successful burn. Something like that anyway, it was a long time ago. Since you specified the error was around the 51 or 52 percent mark I started thinking of the layer break right away. I don’t know if that was the issue or not but it sounds like new discs fixed your issue.<br
