2. Create two sub-folders in the above folder (for example disk 1 & disk 2).
3. Create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS sub-folders in the disk 1 and disk 2 folders.
4. For all the files linked above, just right click and “save as” to download them. For the VOB files – direct the download to the appropriate VIDEO_TS folder. Some browsers/downloaders will rename the .VOB files with the .MPG extension. If you see this, you’ll need to rename them back to .VOB. You can right click on them, choose “rename,” and then change it to .VOB. You cannot burn the files to a working DVD without doing this. For the “all other VIDEO_TS folder files” zip file – download outside of the VIDEO_TS folder, unzip it, and then put the files (total of five small files) into the VIDEO_TS folder.
5. After downloading, if you see the file name, but no extension (.VOB, .BUP, .MPG etc.), then you need to do this: Start button –> Control Panel —> Appearance and Personalization —> Folder Options. Click the View tab, under Advanced Settings, untick the ”Hide extensions for known file types” and click OK. A quick way is to look at the location of the show. If it’s in the USA (like this one was), the chances are that it’s NTSC. If it comes from Europe, the chances are that it’s PAL. Once you have the DVD or files, you can check the resolution of the video (most software players and some hardware players will give you this info). Typical NTSC resolution is 720×480. Typical PAL resolution is 720×576.

So much is filmed but never circulated. Whatever gets torrented out I’m usually lucky enough to D/L. I know NYCBC films a ton of shows but I wouldn’t even know how to deal with them. The version of this disc that I have is the SXSW keynote speech with just a few performance clips on it so the full show is a gift. I was in the pit in Boston Monday night. it was my 149th show. (yeah, I’m one of those). I know a few people recorded it, but at some point I’d love to get a copy if it’s ever released. I know there are a few of us fans here. Most people either love or hate him. Thanks again for this.
