Chuck Mosley, Former Faith No More Singer, Dies at 57

Chuck Mosley, who sang on Faith No More’s breakthrough hit “We Care a Lot,” died Thursday at age 57, Rolling Stone reports.

In a statement provided to Rolling Stone, Mosley’s family said that the vocalist died “due to the disease of addiction.”

“After a long period of sobriety, Charles Henry Mosley III lost his life, on November 9th, 2017, due to the disease of addiction,” the family said. “We’re sharing the manner in which he passed, in the hopes that it might serve as a warning or wake up call or beacon to anyone else struggling to fight for sobriety. He is survived by long-term partner Pip Logan, two daughters, Erica and Sophie and his grandson Wolfgang Logan Mosley. The family will be accepting donations for funeral expenses.”

Mosley sang on the band’s 1985 debut album “We Care a Lot” and the 1987 follow-up “Introduce Yourself.” He was replaced by Mike Patton, who took the vocal reins for the band’s 1989 offering “The Real Thing.”

Following his tenure in Faith No More, Mosley briefly served as vocalist had a short stint with the hardcore band Bad Brains, briefly replacing that band’s singer H.R.

Mosley’s other projects included the band Cement and the 2009 solo album “Will Rap Over Hard Rock for Food.”

Wow, spun that record a LOT my freshman year on our college radio station. They were a really fun band for that time period – with both singers.
