Never understood why Dave went out of his way to sing so terribly with Van Halen in 2012-2015 yet kept it together for his solo stuff. I went back and watched a couple early shows in 2007 and he wasn’t too bad then. Eddie was terrible, though. It seemed like when Eddie was clean and playing his best, Dave was intentionally singing off. I only listened to a couple minutes of this video, but it didn’t sound terrible. Sounds like Dave singing in a tribute band, which is what I would expect for his solo act.
